About Show My Crafts

Our Story

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about Show My Crafts.

I'm Danielle, founder, owner, and Event Director of Show My Crafts. This family-owned business was built from a passion for supporting local makers, artisans, and small businesses, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to share our story with you.

For more than a decade, my husband Jeremy and I participated in craft shows and vendor events as vendors ourselves. We spent many weekends setting up booths, loading and unloading inventory, meeting shoppers, and building our businesses alongside other hardworking makers and small business owners. Through those experiences, we learned what vendors need to be successful and what makes an event enjoyable for both vendors and shoppers.

Long before Show My Crafts officially began, I enjoyed bringing people together through local shopping events. I organized a few small pop-up shopping events at family members' homes and even hosted a fundraiser event to help a friend raise money for a friend's medical expenses. Those experiences showed me how meaningful community events can be for both small businesses and the people who support them.

Then came 2020.

As the holiday shopping season approached, nearly every local vendor event in our area was canceled. Vendors who had spent months creating products, building inventory, and preparing for their busiest time of year suddenly found themselves without opportunities to sell in person. As vendors ourselves, Jeremy and I understood exactly how difficult that situation was—not only for our own businesses, but for countless other small businesses facing the same challenge.

Instead of accepting that there would be no opportunities that holiday season, we decided to create one.

It wasn't easy. We dealt with venue cancellations, developed safety plans, worked with local health officials, followed ever-changing requirements, redesigned event layouts, and found creative ways to safely bring shoppers and vendors together. Despite the challenges, vendor spaces filled quickly as local businesses eagerly sought opportunities to connect with customers at live events.

The response from both vendors and shoppers exceeded anything we expected.

Vendors were grateful to have an opportunity to sell the products they had worked so hard to create. Shoppers were excited to support local businesses and enjoy an in-person shopping experience again. What began as a solution to a difficult situation quickly revealed a much bigger opportunity to serve our local community.

Encouraged by that success, we scheduled additional events the following year.

As our events grew, we added venues throughout Southern Indiana to better serve vendors and shoppers across the region. We continued listening to feedback, refining our processes, and focusing on the details that matter most. Vendors consistently told us they appreciated our strong communication, organization, advertising efforts, and the fact that we genuinely understood the vendor experience because we had lived it ourselves.

Today, Show My Crafts hosts a variety of craft shows, vendor markets, art fairs, holiday events, and community shopping experiences throughout Southern Indiana and the Greater Louisville area.

While I oversee the planning, organization, and growth of Show My Crafts as owner and Event Director, this business has always been a family effort. Over the years, we've also been blessed to grow our team and welcome staff members who share our commitment to serving vendors, shoppers, and our communities.

Although our event schedule, team, and reach have grown significantly since that first event, our mission remains the same: to create high-quality, well-organized craft shows, vendor events, and art fairs that connect local makers, artisans, and small businesses with the communities they serve while providing an exceptional experience for both vendors and shoppers.

Every event we host is guided by the same values that inspired us from the beginning—providing opportunities for makers and small businesses, building strong community connections, communicating clearly, paying attention to the details, and creating events that everyone can be proud to be part of.

Whether you're a shopper looking for unique local products, or a vendor seeking opportunities to grow your business, I'm grateful to have you as part of the Show My Crafts community.

Thank you for supporting local businesses and helping us continue our mission of bringing communities together through exceptional events.

What Makes Our Events Different

As vendors ourselves, we approach every event from both perspectives—the organizer's and the vendor's.

We understand the effort that goes into preparing for an event. We know how important communication, organization, advertising, and customer attendance are. We recognize that every vendor invests valuable time, money, and energy into participating.

That's why we focus on:

  • Clear and timely communication

  • Well-organized event layouts

  • Effective advertising and promotion

  • Balanced vendor variety

  • Family-friendly shopping experiences

  • Strong relationships with vendors, venues, and communities

  • Creating welcoming events for shoppers and vendors alike
